Accessibility statement

What we target, where we currently fall short, and how to tell us about a barrier.

What we target

WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means: every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard, a visible focus indicator throughout, semantic headings in order with one H1 per page, text alternatives for all non-decorative graphics, and colour contrast meeting AA in both light and dark themes.

All animation respects prefers-reduced-motion. Nothing on the site depends on colour alone to convey meaning.

Known gaps

The crowd forecast and month charts convey their primary information visually. Each carries a text alternative describing the pattern, but the underlying figures are not yet available as a table. We intend to fix this.

Some data tables scroll horizontally on narrow screens. They are marked up correctly with headers and captions, but horizontal scrolling is not ideal.

Reporting a barrier

Email accessibility@meems.in describing what you were trying to do and what prevented it. We aim to respond within five working days and to fix confirmed barriers within 30.
