Umrah visa status check

Checks run against the Nusuk and Saudi MOFA enquiry services. Nothing you type is stored.

Check your Umrah visa on the Nusuk portal or the Saudi MOFA enquiry page using your passport number and application or visa number. Status appears within 24 hours of submission, and approved visas download as a printable PDF from the same page.

What each status means

Under process, received and queued. Normal for the first 24-48 hours.

Approved / Issued, download the PDF and print it. Immigration asks for paper.

Pending documents, something failed validation, usually the photograph. Check the Nusuk message log; you can normally re-upload without re-paying.

Rejected, the fee is not refunded. See the rejection guide for the nine causes and the fix for each.

Why status has not updated

Most 'stuck' applications are simply inside the normal window. The current median is 36 hours; agent-filed applications run 4-6 days, and 5-10 during Ramadan.

If nothing has changed after 5 days on a direct Nusuk filing, check the message log rather than reapplying, a duplicate application creates a name-conflict rejection.

Common questions

How do I check my Umrah visa status?

Use the Nusuk portal or the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs enquiry page with your passport number and your application or visa number. Status updates appear within 24 hours of submission. Approved visas can be downloaded as a printable PDF from the same page.

How long does an Umrah visa take to be approved?

The current median on Nusuk is about 36 hours, within a normal range of 24 to 72 hours. Agent-filed applications take 4 to 6 days, extending to 5 to 10 days during Ramadan because of volume.

What does 'under process' mean on Nusuk?

It means the application has been received and is queued for review. This is normal for the first 24 to 48 hours. If it has not changed after five days, check the message log for a document request rather than submitting a new application.

Can I check my Umrah visa with only a passport number?

No. Both the Nusuk portal and the MOFA enquiry page require the application or visa number alongside the passport number. The application number is in your Nusuk confirmation email.
