Route 1: Haj Committee
Apply online at hajcommittee.gov.in in the announced window with passport, photo and a medical certificate. Selection is by qurrah - a lottery within each state’s quota - with results usually by January. Seniors over 65 and women in Ladies-Without-Mahram groups get reserved categories. The fee covers flights, Azizia accommodation, Mina camps and transport; you add qurbani and personal spend.
Route 2: Private HGO
Only operators on the Ministry of Minority Affairs HGO list may sell Hajj. Check the list before paying - the same rule that applies to Umrah operators applies tenfold here, and “Hajj through a friend’s visa” schemes end in deportation. Tiers run from economy Azizia packages near ₹6 lakh to VIP camps beside Jamarat above ₹12 lakh.
If you are doing Umrah first
