Booking, step by step
- Download Nusuk and sign in with the passport number used on your visa.
- Open Prayer in Rawdah al-Sharifah under services.
- Add every traveller in your group - each needs their own permit.
- Pick a date inside your Madinah stay and take whatever time slot shows; night slots (after Isha) are the most available.
- Save the QR code offline. It is scanned at the Rawdah gate.
What to know
- It is free. Anyone charging for Rawdah permits is reselling what you can book yourself.
- One visit per stay is the current norm - slots re-open only if capacity allows.
- Women’s hours are separate, generally after Fajr and late morning, and often easier to book than men’s slots.
- Salam at the grave from the front of the chamber does not need a permit; only praying inside the Rawdah enclosure does.
- Arrive 30 minutes before your slot at the gate printed on the permit.
If no slots show
Check again after midnight Saudi time when new inventory releases, try single-traveller bookings instead of the whole group, and keep your Madinah nights flexible in the app. Your package operator’s Saudi ground handler can sometimes secure group slots - ask before paying anyone.
Questions
How do I book a Rawdah permit?
In the Nusuk app: sign in with your visa passport number, open Prayer in Rawdah, add each traveller, and pick a timed slot during your Madinah stay. It is free and the QR code is scanned at the gate.
How much does the Rawdah permit cost?
Nothing. The permit is free on Nusuk. Anyone selling Rawdah access is reselling a free booking.
How long do you get inside the Rawdah?
Slots run 10–15 minutes, managed in groups. Enough to pray two rakah and make dua before the next group enters.
Can women book Rawdah permits?
Yes - women have dedicated separate hours, typically after Fajr and late morning, booked the same way in Nusuk and often with better availability.
What if no Rawdah slots are available?
Check after midnight Saudi time when slots release, book travellers individually, and ask your operator’s ground handler about group slots. Do not pay third parties.
