The niyat
Made at or before the miqat: Allahumma labbayka umratan. O Allah, here I am for Umrah.
The intention is of the heart; saying it aloud is a means of focusing it, not a condition of validity.
The Talbiyah
Labbayk Allahumma labbayk. Labbayka la sharika laka labbayk. Innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk. La sharika lak.
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Indeed all praise and blessing is Yours, and the dominion. You have no partner.
Recited from entering ihram until tawaf begins, aloud by men, quietly by women.
During tawaf
No specific dua is prescribed for the circuits. Any dhikr, Quran or personal supplication is valid, in any language. This is worth knowing, because travellers often feel they must recite from a booklet and end up counting words rather than circuits.
Between the Yemeni corner and the Black Stone, the reported supplication is: Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah, wa fil-akhirati hasanah, wa qina adhaban-nar.
At Safa and Marwah
On climbing Safa, the verse Innas-Safa wal-Marwata min sha'a'irillah is recited, followed by takbir and personal supplication facing the Kaaba. The same is repeated at Marwah, without the verse.

Do I need to memorise duas before Umrah?
No. Beyond the niyat and the Talbiyah, nothing needs to be memorised. Personal supplication in your own language is valid throughout. Many travellers carry a small printed card, which is more practical than a booklet during tawaf.
