How the tours work
Hotels and operators run the circuit daily, usually after Fajr (6–9am) or after Asr. The coach stops properly at Arafat and the base of Jabal al-Nour; Mina and Muzdalifah are narrated drive-throughs since there is little to walk to outside Hajj season. Book through your package operator - it is almost always included - or at any hotel desk.
What ziyarat is and is not
These visits are historical, not ritual. Umrah itself - ihram, tawaf, sa’i, halq - happens entirely at Masjid al-Haram. Treat ziyarat as context for the places you have read about all your life, scheduled around prayers, not instead of them.
Questions
What are the main ziyarat places in Makkah?
Arafat with Jabal Rahmah, Mina, Muzdalifah, Jabal al-Nour (Cave of Hira), Jabal Thawr, Jannat ul-Mualla cemetery, Masjid Jinn and Masjid Nimra. A standard coach tour covers them in 3–4 hours.
How much does a Makkah ziyarat tour cost?
SAR 50–100 per seat booked at a hotel desk, or free within nearly all Indian Umrah packages. Private cars run SAR 250–400 for the circuit.
Is ziyarat in Makkah part of Umrah?
No. The Umrah rites are completed entirely within Masjid al-Haram. Ziyarat is optional historical visiting with no prescribed ritual.
When is the best time for a ziyarat tour?
After Fajr, roughly 6–9am, before heat and traffic build. Afternoon tours after Asr are the alternative in winter months.
